Tability in 2024: Year in Review

2024, what a year. From Swifties to Tesla Bots to the Olympics, this year in tech and culture had a little of everything. It was a real mixed bag, and it was no different for us at Tability.

We've improved so many areas of our product, from AI to data to people management. We've been busy putting together the best modern OKR solution and have made some serious progress. Today, we want to look back at some of the milestones and new features from 2024 that made Tability the OKR software users truly love:

Our greatest hits of 2024

• Listed as one of What Matter's best OKR tools - What Matters wrote the book on OKRs (literally), we're proud to be recognized as a leader in OKR software.

• We were listed as one of G2.com's High Performers in OKR software every quarter this year and awarded g2.com's "Easiest to implement" and "Highest ROI" in the OKR software space.
• We had conversations with so many awesome people in the OKR space and were featured on podcasts with OKR leaders like There Be Giants and Sarah Lobkovic (Thinkydoers podcast).

• We expanded our Tability Partner program! Through the program we have connected with the best in the business and now have OKR expert partners available in every region. Wherever you are, Tability has a trusted partner ready to help you.

2024 Product highlight reel

Here is a quick highlight reel of our best features in 2024. We built a lot of stuff this year, but these cover some of our bigger ideas and concepts that we think go into being the best modern OKR solution.

Improved AI assistance throughout the app

AI capabilities have advanced quite a bit in the last 12 months, and we've also translated those advancements into Tability. We went from having AI in our Plan editor as a goal generator to a much more refined way of setting goals using AI assistance. It can still generate a complete OKR plan for you, but you can now chat with Tabby to refine and improve it. We have AI detection to help suggest what and where to improve your OKRs and the ability to auto-detect metrics for your goals. All small features that shave several micro-actions off of your long to-do lists.

A whole new Focus page experience

We like to think of this as the "Facebook for Work" page. What started as a hub to remind you of outstanding action items and a home for your work is now a hub for everything you might care about in your workspace. We wanted to create a place where you could find the things you were looking for but also help surface things that maybe you weren't but are happy you found. We want to make sure that you have visibility into the entire org's activity because sometimes the things that can be most alarming (or pleasantly surprising) at work can be things you didn't know were happening.

With new Facebook-like profiles and feeds, we're trying to help companies connect on a deeper level around goals and results.

Custom dashboards and more data!

Data is the lifeblood of most companies. The more data you have, the more you understand about what's going on. A lot is going on in your Tability workspace all the time, and we want to make sure that you find the things that matter the most.

A revamped Insights page helps you understand adoption and engagement amongst your teams. 'What's going well, and what's not?' 'Who needs help?' 'What needs my attention?' — These are the types of questions that we want to be able to answer for you in a split second.

A new custom dashboard feature allows you to build command centres for relevant OKRs and tasks.

KPIs! For the metrics that you care about

We added a whole new type of plan to Tability where you can track KPIs. KPIs are like OKRs, but how you track them and the information you care about looks a little different. We know that the two things go hand in hand, so we've made it possible to do both in Tability.

Integrations, integrations, integrations

This isn't necessarily something new, but we now have more than two a dozen native integrations within Tability. Project management tools like Jira or Asana help you tie your OKRs to tasks and projects you might be tracking in your favourite task tracker. We have new data connectors so that you can funnel in more data automatically from the tools you're already using. And lastly, we've added integrations with Microsoft Teams so that you can have your goals where your team connects to each other the most.

What to expect in 2025

We have really exciting things to share with you in 2025. With tons of ideas already filling our roadmap, we know that Tability in 2025 will become a tool you just can't work without.

We have a few focus areas, but the problem we really want to solve in 2025 is: How to find problems in your org faster.

What do we mean by that?

OKRs are full of rich activity on what you and your team are working on. While doing OKRs helps you maintain alignment and visibility on those things, it's really on you to know what to look for 👀

You are responsible for building complex dashboards and command centres to make sense of all the activity in your org. This also means that there are probably a lot of issues you don't know about.

In 2025, Tability will help you find problems you don't know about faster. It will be able to spotlight issues at work, related work and even things that might interest you. It will help you understand the issues at hand, help you find the people who can fix them, and help you find solutions faster.
